Checked and confirmed. If you cut that line you can type while driving. Great question and great added benefit to what I did. :smile:

So, just break that line with a switch, then that's all good?

I heard that it will lock back after a few minutes, is that the case? Or until you flip the switch again?

Do you have the wiring diagram for 2014/2015 for the Navi? I only have the 2010 one.

Yup! Just cut and add a switch. As for locking back, it didn't for me as long as I had the speed signal cut. I do and can send it later.
 
looks good! Can you provide more information On the led switchback front signals?


They are dual color LED's that pop right into the factory plug and are white when the parking lights are on and orange/amber when the blinker turns on. The white turns off while the blinker is on. When adding blinker LED's you must add a resistor that most places sell with the LED's to avoid the hyper flash.

I've been looking to do this. Could you provide the link to where you got yours? Also, is there a built in resistor on your bulbs or did you have to add one?

The resistor is separate and is wired between the + and - of each blinker wire at the factory connector.

Thanks for the response! I'll have to check them out. I've relocated to the LA area so it's a little closer drive down to their shop than it used to be! Would you mind posting a picture of the wired resistor please?
 
Damn, those LEDs look AMAZING!

I wish I had half your skills, but I don't know a thing about anything to do with this stuff. Kudos good sir, you are the man.

Definitely digging your rig. I work in Orange, CA and live in Newport Beach so I'd love to see it in person.

Which 2.5" steel spacers did you use up front? I want to put 285s on my stock TE and from the 5th gen tire fitment guide I would only need to push the front fender liner forward. But I also want to level out the front like yours. Are you able to keep the stock suspension, UCAs, etc. with the spacers?
 
Sorry for the lack of response from the last questions. Never got notified of comments.

As for the driving LED's I did, I've made yet another change to them and have stopped using resistors as the heat from them caused issues with the LED's. I now use an adjustable voltage regulator that gives the LED's the exact voltage no matter what the battery and/or alternator puts out.

The spacers are a simple 2.5 inch steel spacer I get through my work. They just bolt to the top of the strut assembly and don't change ride quality or impede with any suspension part.

Thanks Scott for dialing in the suspension. I'm not getting it as much but its still there. The premature traction control was annoying. I wonder if I raised the rear of the vsc module would it even do away with the traction control issue even more. BTW, do you know where it was again? I think I asked you but I forgot. You've been a lot of help and I feel safer driving my newborn around!!! Thanks again!

If it does than doesn't it actually compress the front spring by 2.5 inches which would make the truck ride a bit rougher. And inturn decrease the front dive when the brakes are applyed. Also do you have a part number for the steel spacers as all the spacers i have been able to find are either alum or plastic. Thank You

Hey man! Sorry for the delayed response. I don't get notified of comments in threads I'm part of. Happy to help!!! The yaw sensor is under the pocket below the radio and in front of the shifter. If you need help with getting to it, you have my number. [emoji6]

The spacer goes on top of the strut seat and in turn merely makes the strut/spring assembly taller. There is still some dive but I don't feel like it's as bad as the weight has shifted a bit with the nose up. I will find the ones I bought from eBay. Don't ever use nylon or aluminum for those. They crack!
