NorthWest Tail Innovations Bumper

Hey guys and gals,
I spoke with the owner of NWTI and he is looking for a 4th gen to build the basis of his weld together kit. He needs a rig for approx 2 weeks and you would get a completed bumper for half of the cost anywhere else... I had been thinking about doing it, but due to recent job changes I need my 4R as a daily driver. The cost he was talking about was in the 550 to 650 range depending if you wanted it powder coated.

Here is his contact info from the craigslist posting:
TO PLACE AN ORDER CALL NORTHWEST TRAIL INNOVATIONS AT 360-798-2337 or feel free to call, text or email with any questions.
YOU CAN ALSO CALL 360-666-9804

and here is the link to the CL posting:
Toyota winch bumper kits, NEW Tacoma kit!, 4runner and more!

I think that this is a unique way of having a prefabricated bumper with the ability to make it your own (on top of putting in the effort of welding it all together...)

Hope someone in the Battleground, WA area can part with their rig for a bit and help us all out.

It is a shame that for getting one of our trucks.... taking two weeks to do it, and then haveing plans that the company is going to make money off of that you do not even get a free bumper out of the deal....
I dont know, perhaps that is a bit of an entitled thought process, but then again there is a LOT of small companies out there trying to take money away from the big dogs, and I know some of them have gotten off the ground with similar deals like a free bumper/sliders etc for letting us use your truck
or... perhaps like a fellow in the town i live it. he is selling his bumpers just above cost of supplies to get the name out there and get diffenert rigs through his shop...

I've got a kit for my 3rd Gen and a 1st Gen taco. He is a super nice guy, planning on buying 3 more bumpers from him as well.

I just talked to him today, he is in the process of a major expansion and is a one man show, he can't really afford to give away a bumper, but 600 for a fully assembled powdercoated bumper is a steal IMO.

Its not a bad price, its the fact that you give him your rig to design a bumper that he'll be making money on and you don't get compensated for it. I'd do it if I got a bumper out of it.

I agree that you lose your rig for 2 weeks and then it is also possible that it could get damaged and be longer than 2 weeks also.

Hi this is Corey from Northwest Trail Innovations (NWTI) I actually don't require the vehicle for two weeks, If you are nearby to battle ground WA. I would only need the 4runner for a few hours for the initial measurements to draw up the structural parts and after I get my parts back from my CNC company (about 5-7 days) I would need the vehicle for most of a Saturday. from that point it would take me a few weeks to finish the bumper.
If anyone is interested contact me and we can negotiate a fair price.
Also once I have a design for the vehicle I would be happy to offer a discounted group buy to the members of this site.
Thanks.
