Notable differences between years?

Hey guys, former 3rd gen member here and looks like I'm getting my feet wet again.

I'm looking at 2010-2013 Trails and was wondering if there were any changes made from year to year that are worth considering. Anything else you think I should be aware of I'd love to hear as well. Going through threads about the pros/cons of KDSS over the next few days and some other things. Already spent time looking ahead at mods as I want to hit the ground running haha.

Nothing is different worth mentioning. Pretty much the same across the first half of the 5th gens.

I have a 2010 TE; but roof rated stronger/better starting with the 2011 year model, so I would consider looking from 2011 on to before the mid cycle face change!

are you talking about the crash test ratings? the variation between these year to year are no big deal.. the same as tow ratings changing ~300 lbs year to year.

I would stay away from the '13 if you want to do a dual battery setup. They have an added air pump over the previous years that is mounted right where you would want your other battery.
