I had a '12 TDI A3 and put 60k miles on it problem free. Right around 61k one rear window motor started acting up. It was part of the Audi/VW buybacm so they gave me $20k and took the car back. That was a sweet deal for me.

Never in my life have i heard of a reliable Audi. I thought Ford had turned their woes around, but i see they are still having problems.

I've got an 2012 audi S4. Nearing 90,000 km on it. Not even a hiccup. That said, it'll be up for sale shortly as I can't justify 2 cars and 2 motorcycles as a single guy.

Plus I want the room in the garage for a new project... just have to find the right project.

90 km = 55,000 miles, I would hope it could make it that far with out any hiccups...

I had a couple of B5 S4s and they were phenomenal cars the 30% of the time that they didn't have issues. I know Audi has improved since then but I'm not sure I'm ready to move them into the reliable column with my 4Runner.

Previous owner of a 2012 Audi TT-S. Ran it about 4 years up to 75000 miles without any significant issues. Blown speaker that needed replacement at like 10K miles, but no other warranty problems. The one thing that was starting to get weird was the suspension with some binding and other issues in cold (by Phoenix standards) weather. Seemed like there were known premature wear issues on the forums out there.

Biggest thing that scared me off was maintenance costs as it got older. I was staring down the 75K service, new brakes all around and swapping out some front suspension components. Total damage was going to be well in excess of $3000, thus my decision to hop into a new VW Golf R instead (plus I needed a car with a real back seat).

I'm hoping to run at least 100K in my VW. We shall see .
