NOVA Peeps

No fb otherwise I'd join. In FXBG.

Isn't all wheelin', kid friendly!? :) Down for any camping trips or if any others around here mountain bike. I'll bring the wifey...although she doesn't bike much. :noidea:

Anyone interested in doing a cars and coffee type meet Sunday, March 1st in Fredericksburg or Stafford area? Maybe we can make this a monthly thing but of course it all depends.

Other than the fact that I live in Fredericksburg which makes me biased and selfish, peoples from NoVA and Richmond can both drive in if they're willing. Just a thought.

Was thinking about 1000 or 1030? I'm always down for early C&C meets but maybe we'll get a consensus.

Suggestions:

Duck Donuts (ample parking)
1223 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Warrior Coffee (medium parking)
35 Walpole St #115, Stafford Courthouse, VA 22554

Peet's (small parking, weird lot, no lines...)
3845 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Stafford Courthouse, VA 22554

I've not been to any of these places; I was looking for coffee shops with parking, open Sunday mornings and that weren't the typical Starbucks/Dunkin, not that there's anything wrong with those. Also most Starbucks in the area have terrible parking.

Alright since this is cross posted on OB I'll update here also:

What: Mini-Meat type Cars & Coffee or Rigs and...Roffee.

Who: You, of course, but really anyone. Cross posted on OverlandBound. Feel free to push this out to the masses.

When: 10:00 AM, Sunday March 1st, 2020

Where: Duck Donuts
1223 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Purpose: Spring is almost here so let's take this opportunity to make some plans, drink some coffee, eat a donut, laugh at our mistakes (come on by, I'll show you plenty). Or don't. I don't care. I'm not your mother. But it'd be a lot cooler if you did.

I would probably go to this meetup if it wasn't so far from me. I just bough a 4th gen and I love wheeling around here: crab tree, shoe creek, flagpole, bald mountain, etc... I wanna meet some 4runner peeps to wheel with. Its kind of weird that there isn't an organized 4runner group here in virginia. The nissan community is sooo much smaller but way more organized. Their group members are far more dedicated and sociable than what I have seen here... Are there any general offroad clubs anyone knows of? Maybe not just 4runners?

I randomly met with a group of 4runners over xmas (actually went to flagpole and somewhere else) off of here but it wasn't a specific group or meet; just a special event. I did notice the VA threads are a bit dead which is why I posted on OB. It does look like they are bit more active but it's all-encompasing, not just 4runners.

Not terrible! Good seeing Spectre again and meeting new peeps.

Moved up to NoVA last year and figured the pandemic was the best time to join the club and start goin on some of these outings in the area!

Have tires/wheels sittin in my office with a Dobinsons lift + UCAS on the way. Anyone have a garage and some tools who'd be willing to take on that project with me? I'll bring anything from Coors Lt to Ocelot or Aslin in abundance and some lunch and.....more beer.

My tools and garage are down in Fredericksburg, but I'm always down to help wrench in the NoVA area if you need an extra hand. Especially if Babou is gonna be involved!

Anyone here recommend any shops in fairfax/prince william county for getting my lift installed? Kinda weary about having to do a BMC, but if its gonna be necessary for putting on 33's then I'd prefer to take it to a reputable shop that has experience with working on 4x4s and doing welding work

Really depends on the offset that you are running.
I replied to your previous thread as well.
Check out elite importz. They did my bmc / pinchwelds to fit 315s and pricing was extremely fair. happy with the quality as well, chris has been working with alot of trucks lately.

I just had my Toytech Boss lift kit and SPC upper control arms installed by Iron Pig Off-road in Fredericksburg. VA. They do great work. Very knowledgable and professional.

My research shows that GT Peace Auto @ Chantilly is a good place. Former tech from High-tech Truck and Auto who used to frequent the forum seems to be working there. I think the shop assign him specifically if a customer brings in a 4runner. I believe his name is Scott?

Hi All,

I just inherited my dad's 4th gen 4Runner. Just joined this board and figured i'd check in with this NOVA string. I'm in the Mt. Vernon area near GW's house.

Just saw some of the old comments on this thread and may reach out to those shops to tackle the first two things I want to do: lift and wheels.

Another chance to find or unload some parts, see what's going on in the Local Toyota community..
