Nova46's Build Thread

Once he finishes making the exhaust system u will c.. regardless the spec U system is the complete exhaust... Headers, y pipe, and catback.

I still wouldn't say "forget the Magnaflow". A muffler is decently cheap for a bit of torque in the mean-time, as well as a mean sound.

Finally got the bilstein 5100's, FJ Springs, and energy suspension bushings in last saturday.

Before (Daystar 2.5/1.5):

After (Bilstein @1.75, FJ shocks / Bilstein, FJ Springs, and DS 1.5 spacer):

Then met with Georgia4Runners up at trey mt. for what I thought would be a leisurely mountain ride.

Yep, just took some yesterday for zopperman. Forgive me for the mud as I haven't been able to wash the truck since the trail ride

Looks good . now I have to buy some mesh and a pair of lights

whats the output of the lights?

I aimed the behind-the-grille lights to add light just above the low beams. That way, I don't really blind oncoming drivers, but get more light output farther down the road. Also, you can see some scattering of light from the grille right in front of the vehicle, but I can't tell a difference in light output with from hood-up to hood-down.

I definitely need to go back to 5000K HID's, the blue vs. yellow vs. clear looks strange.

Haven't updated the build in a while, and a lot has happened.

Installed the Goodgridge 2" extended brake lines, and had a front caliper repaired at the Toyota dealer.

Lol, you my friend are a perp:flipoff:! Jk, no luck on the photobucket link? I will be uploading everything to the fb page this afternoon since I blew right through the photobucket storage. But just to whet your appetite here are some. Man those bell mountain owner photos and the three pointers are definitely some of my favorites!! You need to include yourself in the trifecta btw since afterall you camped out the night before to secure our spot. Big thanks! I have more pics of you and Davy that I'll get to you soon.

Recently installed my Icon swaybar relocate brackets, Winjet yellow fogs, and Cobra 29 digital CB w/ 4' Firestick on a RS840 mount. Still waiting on a free weekend for the superbumps and diff breather extender.

A few pictures from last weekend's Windrock trip with blight1234 and mwill. What a great trip...

NOVA46 how did you attach the wire mesh to the lower bumper grill? I'm working on one right now and can't seem to figure out what the best way to keep it attached and not move.

Well I didn't use write mesh, but perforated galvanized steel. I bent the edges to 90 degree angles with a 1 inch lip and fastened the metal sheet to the frame of the plastic grille insert with small screws, washers, and lock nuts. Just remove the lower grille first and cut out the center plastic. I can send you pictures later if you want

Truck looks good!

Question about the group shot though.....
Is the Runner next to the FJ a member here? Or, do you know the suspension & wheel/tire setup?

Thanks

Thank you!

That's mwill he's not very active on the forum, but he's pretty heavily modified. He currently has the icon suspension on giant nitto all terrains. His truck is definitely unique

I have radflo front shocks with 650# springs on them set at what they came from toytec, the rear is icon shocks with toytec hd springs. I also have a 1.25" body lift from 4crawler offroad. The wheels and tires are 18" kmc xd series hoss with 285x65xr18 nitto terra grapplers.

Thanks Nova46 it is a little unique, at least I haven't seen one in person like it yet. I know there are others out there like it.

It's certainly been a while, but I wanted to post some updates from the last few months. Got my RCI skid plates, Wheelers Superbumps, extended rear diff breather, cleaned up my wiring with the Blue Sea fuse box, and a bunch of other little things. Removed the front sway bar and it feels weird...

Heading to GSMTR in a few weeks, so we'll see how it holds up!
