November GVL/Big Bear Run

[Quatre Coureur]

It's time for another run! It will be on one of the first 3 weekends in November so [MENTION=62034]Keemonrunnin[/MENTION] can make it. As of now the tentative route will be 3N16(GVL/CrabFlats) into BigPineFlats. Then take 3N11 to 3N17(WhiteMtn.Trail) We'll then run the eastern half of WhtMtn back to 3N16 then link up to 3N08 via 3N89. That'll take us back towards 3N14 and the eastern end of 3N93. We'll head west on 3N93 till we turnoff onto 2N06X(LowerLarga) which will ultimately bring us back to 3N16. The date isn't quite set yet as I'm waiting to hear from my homeboy Danny Cruz(FJ-62). Anyway that's the plan. All are welcome!

Edit: Just heard back from Danny. November 1st it is!!!

Only familiar with a couple of those roads/trails off the top of my head. What is the worst difficulty on that route?

Nothing too radical at all. It's only got a couple black diamond sections on 3N17. Some guidebooks list it as a Blue square and it is for the most part. 3N08 is a mild Blue square and 2N06X is Black diamond all the way. There are alternate routes along the way tho. Hope u can make it!

As for 3N34(DishPanSprings), I agree it's an awesome trail. Especially if u run it west to east! I've run it both directions and it is exciting. However I wanted to run a loop of trails in the opposite direction of what I've done. Maybe next time we'll run 3N34 from Arrowhead into CrabFlats. Climb the Waterfall!!! eace:

How stock? If u have some decent rubber, u should be good for most of the run. You'll need sliders for 2N06X unless you're willing to take some body damage.
