Sounds a bit high for an '04. I sold a '00 with 152,000 last January for $5500 to a friend.

154k miles isn't that much on a 4runner. If the body is rust free and the car has been well maintained, you'll easily double that. Every 4Runner I've ever sold has had around 200k miles and I only sold them because I wanted something new, never because they were going downhill.

here in Tn i have noticed that the price jumps nearly 8 grand from a 3rd gen to a 4th gen.

Low mileage v8 4 th gens are in the 20s, the price for a v6 are in the 18s

this is supposed to be a fleet vehicle, so sounds like highway miles

it actually has 144 miles, i went back and looked, and they have lowered the price to less than 14k

this one has all the commodities except dvd nav, for this price, if it ever breaks, would it be worrht it to replace with a lower miles engine

or should i stray away,

what should i look for, im going tomorrow

I bought an 03 Sport with 56k miles for 13,500 back in March. Just shop around, it may take a couple months, but you can find a much better deal than that. And I bought mine in Knoxville from a dealer. He was asking 15,900 for it, I offered 13,500 and stuck to it and he eventually took it.

I was also working a deal on an 04 Sport with 58k miles at the same time for 14,500. So I had that as a negotiating tool.

I know is a Limited 4wd but I wouldnt pay that much for an 04 with that high milage and already 5 years old. Negociate and try to bring it down at least to 11,500. . I paid 17,000 for my sr5 2wd about two and a half years ago with 52k. I know is a 2wd but it was just 3 1/2 years old and way less milage.

If I was you...I'll pick this one better and save 7k...wow...use the remaining for MODS and hook it up Big Time!

Back in August I purchased my 4runner. It's a black 03 Limited, looks identical to the one pictured. It's got every option including nav and rear air suspension. It had 123k miles, and I picked it up for $11749 out the door. It's very clean, all scheduled maintenance done at the original dealer, and a one owner. I sold my car on Monday, found the 4runner the next day (although I'd been searching for months) and picked it up Thursday. It'll happen, just give it time. Personally I'd pass on that deal, or try to do a lot more negotiating.

NJ

I bought a month ago from a friend that took EXCELLENT care of the car a 2004 Toyota 4runner Sport Edition V8 with 140k for $9700.00

I know that nobody can't beat the deal that I got

but...besides that the one you are looking at is a limited edition, price seems high to me.

As other members suggested, if you shop around, you will find a better deal.

My opinion.

:peace:

Well the problem is that in nashville or memphis, all runners are at dealers. at least the good ones, and i dont have cash in hand to buy one, i have to finance.

the one im looking at even the kbb value shows a 4x4 v8 limited for 17,000 cuz i has the sunroof, and tow package, and what not. the private party value is probably less than that. even with those miles.

went to he dealer so they dont want to go any lower that what i did, cuz they have the dealertrack the nada, and kbb. which i did on my own and its true....

however i was able to bring them down to 12,700. :thumb3:

However where are these trucks you guys speak of low miles and 10 grand. :redbrick: v6, sr5's ? 2wd? i mean 2 grand, is that a lot difference.

Heck even some 1999 - 2001 with 150k miles they want 10500 around here, and not many to choose from. all are plain janes 2wds.

Im getting frustrated cuz this one i have been looking is exactly what i want.

all my low mileage runners here are in the 20k, for real, if anybody looks in autotrader and searches 100 from zip code 38305 thats what you get.

thanks for all the replies so far, im afraid to loose this one for a couple of miles.:roadkill:

Where are you located? Because the one I spoke of which was the 2004 with 58k miles for 14,500 was in murfreesboro. Now it was a Sport where you are comparing to a Limited, but they are out there. I used autotrader, craigslist, ebay, cars.com, and several others in my search. My favorite is autotrader, but the one I purchased I actually found locally at a dealer through ebay.

I just bought an 07 limited V8 4WD with all options and 45k miles for $25k plus some negative equity from a trade in pushed it up a little more. The 4runner can carry the upside down amount though, so I was happy with that and it got me out of a domestic that is falling in value faster than I can sneeze.

:guitar3:

did get it for 12,500. i love it, i wanted it black, and this one is what i was looking for.

you have to pay to play with the toy you want.:thanks:

is that including tax and license?

nah, i wish. all the 4runners in the 10K range around here were either salvage, wrecks, or bent frames that were repaired, all had title issues, Im not sure if ill keep it forever, but i did not wat to grease myself into that.

the truck has been i my possesion 1 month now, i just changed the rear brakes in my garage. It rides very smoth as it comes with the x-reas.

Im really happy. I really wanted it black, no way about it, this is why...

so this one was the only black one in 200 miles really worth it...
