Nut on UAC ball joint will not come off!

So I got my lift kit and while following the instructions found on here. I removed the cotter pin from the upper ball joint. I can not for the life of me get the castle nut off. Help! I have tried everything. Putting a jack under the lower arm. PB and Wd40. Ran into the issue last night figured it was time to walk away for a bit. Came up with some other ideas and that damn thing will not budge. It is now rounded off to all hell. Am i just going to have to cut the thing off? and replace the ball joint?

Thanks for any input. I wish I knew someone on here close by that was mechanically inclined!

You have to try an air impact gun. Mine wouldn't come off either by hand even with a pry bar. Using a pry bar I just rounded off the nut. So brought out the impact gun and it zipped right off.
 
Is the stud spinning?

Try it with the suspension at full droop or loaded?

Floor jack handle and breaker bar works well for me!
 
The stud is NOT spinning.

I have tried with it hanging and loaded with no luck.

I'm about the cut the ***** off. I'm getting desperate!
 
Its a Daystar 2.5/1.5.

I got the pass side off no problem. Turns out the driver side is kinda hosed now after all the damage I did to it. New UAC with the ball joint is in transit and I'll end up having to cut the old one off Monday or Tuesday.

I got to thinking about what you said where I could possibly not have to mess with them. Were you refering to the instructions to disconnect the LCA and go about putting the spacer in that way?

Yeah, you can do it that way - make sure you loosed the LCA bolt, the nut behind the bolt is the adjuster, the bolt is what needs to be loosened.

Wish you had said something sooner, I have my old UCAs since I upgraded to SPC ones.

More pry bar. If I were you, I would order an SPC UCA instead of a replacement stocker, that may help with your alignment issues in that thread. I think I posted in that too, but it fixed my issues and I think I have a bent knuckle. You can order individual ones for like 180
 
So I got the new control arm in. I'm now having trouble getting the strut out. I think the top plate is stuck. Does anyone have any tips or advice on removing a strut that once everything is unbloted and out of way refuses to budge? Saturday is the last day I have to screw with this damn thing. Im highly frusrated. Called a shop told them I had Xreas and they wouldn't touch it.

i sprayed pb blast on the top hat, and smacked the hell out of it with a bfh
