PB the studs, hammer the top hat/frame where it mounts, it just needs a good oomph to break it loose

You will be pleased to know that after 2 days a lot of cussing and about 4 pack of cigarettes. I got the whole kit installed. Plus rotors, pads, and calipers.
You were right a hammer and patients went a long way.
Oh! and I was able to bend the LCA mount "back into position"
