O/D blinking on and off

I have a question. I have a 1995 T4R SR5 4x4. Whenever i drive, my O/D light blinks on and off, but there was no difference in driving. When i stopped, i clicked my O/D button, and the light stays on and can feel a difference. I was wondering if someone has this problem and if its bad or not and if i can fix it. Thank you for helping me out.

The blinking is telling you there is an error code stored in the A/T control module.
It can be retrieved in a manner similar to reading engine error codes.

So, it's a bad thing? Does it affect my gas mileage or my transmission? I'm sorry to ask these questions, but I'm not a mechanic haha. So what can I do to fix this problem?

Pull the code and see what it says.

It's never a good thing. You need to read the error code and go from there.
The code reading procedure is in the Factory Service manual, which you can find online and download.
