O2 Sensor

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. Just bought my first 4Runner, a 2001 Ltd., a week ago. Always been a jeep guy, but finally wised up ; )

The rig has 119k on it and an immaculate service history, but I can't find any evidence of the O2 sensors being replaced. Anybody know when this should be done?

Most people wait until they get a CEL telling them it's a problem. You've gone a little past the expected life but it's up to you. I would leave the rear one for now and just replace the front if you want. You may see some improvement in mileage but I doubt it.

Yeah, either wait for the O2 sensor to start acting up or wait for the truck to fail smog.

Thanks for the info guys. It's getting between 18 and 20mpg right now.
