OBX Racing Exhaust for V8 T4R..Too ricey?

Okay, so I've read a few exhaust threads on here and have yet to identify one as having an OBX exhaust. Anyone ever hear of it? does it look/sound too ricey? Thoughts??? I already know I am not looking for power gains, just a little throaty exhaust note. :lookout:

I know some, if not most will post/say, stick with the familiar companies that are already out there, which are tried and true. Anywho, what do you guys think of this guy:

I actually love the way this sounds DirtyDeedsExhaust - YouTube But on their website, they don't have a specific 4runner application, only FJ/Tacoma/Tundra.. Which I was thinking Tundra would be the closest in terms of fitment(But Of course, they know what they are doing).

I think it looks a bit ricey, however, its your vehicle. I can't judge the sound without hearing it installed. If you just want a throaty tone, save your money, and just get a straight thru muffler installed. You can always remove the resonator and third cat for some extra power.

Thanks, I figured it looked a bit ricey, due to the "cannon" at the end..

I may end up taking your advice, But that Dirty Deeds just sounds so sexy lol

im pretty sure dirtydeeds uses other brand mufflers, because their product page shows flowmaster, magnaflow, borla, and gibson, but nothing about DirtyDeeds.

Edit: The website offers Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Gibson, Borla, and BAMuffler systems.

Wow. Dirtydeeds is his brand. His company. Keith makes all his mufflers in house, by hand.

If you're interested in the dirtydeeds exhaust, give him a call or email him. He can do anything. You want loud? He can make and put on a 10" muffler. You want quiet? He can make you a 40" muffler if you wanted. Biggest you can fit is 26" though. Do you want 3" pipes? He can probably do it. You want it dumped after the muffler? He can do it. Just call him up and he'll help you out. The thing with his exhausts is that you have a choice of what you want.

Stock pipes are pretty small, and with most aftermarket exhausts the piping will be changed to 2.5", which in my opinion would help make it sound better than with just a simple muffler swap.

I'm not saying that it's not his brand/company. I'm saying all the exhausts are different brands of mufflers on the website.

I just got the Dirty Deeds muffler installed on mine. No problem having him make it for a 4runner BUT you will have to confirm with him the length (there are two lengths). Bolted right into me system (using factory tail pipe). Give him a call, he was great to speak to and work with.
