HERE IS WHY WALL STREET IS OCCUPIED!! Tell it like it is brother....mirror - YouTube
Some good points some bad points.
The "go back to gold" argument doesn't hold water with any* published economists, either followers of Keynes or Friedman.
Leaving the gold standard has allowed the US GDP to rise consistently. The fact that wages didn't rise is unrelated to the Gold Standard pro/con argument (correlation != causation).
According to the World Bank (which is run by the US) US GDP in 1995 was 7.338 Trillion.
GDP in the US in 2009 (after the crash) was 14.044 Trillion.
YET WAGES ARE THE SAME AS 1995. This has nothing to do with the Gold Standard and everything to do with taxation and the distribution of wealth spread. Specifically, that some people make money from trading money (a lot of money is made), it is not taxed at the same rate as workers pay or spending, therefore the overall wealth shifts.
Hence the 1% argument and cries for higher taxation on corporations, financial trading, stocks ect. Also, many of the 99% are starting to disagree with the "trickle down effect" argument that is constantly stated by the right wing and businesses groups.
The GDP doubled, and yet wages are NO higher on average for a college educated male. Also the cost of housing doubled so now we (I'm 29) are expected to buy housing at 2-3x its worth on 1995 wages.
All of this is confirmed by simply researching US disposable household income. People have less money in their pockets to spend because the price of everything has gone up (healthcare & housing in particular) while we earn 1995 wages.

going back to the gold seems what Ron Paul suggested...it makes sense that these money they print out of thin air with no gold backing has no real value. so when it keeps getting printed it loses its...i think? its pretty confusing its a mind **** if i try to think about it. but yah, it's political money not real value. and not to mention the fed that prints out the money aren't even being being checked. it's private own just like mom and pops business shop...so who knows how much they're printing and what there doing with it. the fed is also illegal. it was slipped in 1913 in Christmas eve when everyone was busy. and past presidents have been killed trying to remove it. that includes JFK. that's what to me OCW is about to me and it should be about.all the problems that people are complaining about starts from up there and has trickled down. all that gdp stuff its totally clueless to me and i not care for it. since they are just numbers they showed you...these people can make nations fall and make them raise. stock market crash etc. it's all a sham. get these mafia like folks out and you can start talking about gdp and all that good stuff. till then we are ****ed.
