Ocmedic build thread

So I purchased an 07 sports ed about a week ago and for about 2 months before that was reading threads and messaging people on here learning everything I could. After all that I finally pulled the trigger on the initial parts to start my build. There are honestly so many things I want but did the best I could with what I can afford for now. Here is all the parts I ordered:

-5 Method Race Wheels MR301 Black
-5 DuraTrac's
-Radflo 2.5 Extended Travel Kit w/ OW valving
-LR UCA's
-RB 1.5in BL
-Shrockwork's front bumper (which I lucked out on and already got)
-Baja Rack w/ light bar, tire carrier, gas can carrier, shovel and axe mount, and hi-lift mount
-4 PIAA 520 Xtreme White ATP's
-2 PIAA 510 Ion Crystal Fog's

If I have enough money left over I think I am going to get some DeMello Sliders as well.

But that's it for the initial build but I am really stoked on it, I think it is a good start. Everything should be installed next Friday except the Baja Rack which is back ordered a couple weeks. So will update with pictures when things start to get put on.

Also got a groupon for a window tint which I have to go get done next week and have already plasti-dipped my grill and all my badges.
 
Looks like you caught the bug before you even bought the 4R! That stuff should be sweet. Be sure and do a build thread!
 
You got a solid plan there. Looking forward to seeing pics of the completed project! :bigok:

Oh how I wish I could be you! Don't worry it maybe late but mine should be joining yours up there on the awesomeness board! IF you gotta do it right the first time you can't do no wrong here bro!:cheers:

Can a MOD please change the name of this thread to "OCMEDIC BUILD" so I don't have to start a new thread.

The stuff that has arrived so far, was lucky enough to get the bumper off someone on 120 that had ordered it and while he was waiting for it to come found a used one for way cheaper. So I was just able to go grab it.

I have a set of the machine finished Methods on order right now. Can't wait.
 
Nice. You are lucky you didn't have to wait for your bumper like the rest of us did.

Are you going with 33s or 35s seing you are doing a 1.5 in body lift too.

I'm not all that into 35's on these, but your right 33's are not the biggest. I may switch my tires up when I move. I got a job in the fire dept in this town called Sun Valley up in Idaho and I suspect I will be doing MUCH more back country off roading seeing as though the mountains up there just go on for miles. Im not sure I would go 35's though, will have to see.

Thats about 8hrs from me right now. IMPO Your gonna find yourself moving up real fast to 35's.. 33's are going to look tiny, especially with the extra space your bumper is going to add, plus the body lift.. Been there done that with my rig.. and couldn't stand it LOL But that's my build story/opinion.. good luck!

Thanks for making me feel like I have made all the wrong decisions haha. At this point everthing is ordered and all I can do is hope for the best. I'm hoping it doesn't look too terrible but who knows.
 
After reading a bunch of build threads I think the 1.5in BL is going to be too much. So I think I'm going to call Roger Brown tomorrow and switch it up to a 1/2in lift. After checking out DawgRunner's and Darkie3495's builds with 1/2in lifts I think that is going to be the best bet.
