But I agree a fire would be nice.

If it was just me, I could suck it up, but camping with no fire and a six year old? Not as much fun for him. That's the only reason I'm not camping. Hopefully they'll start lifting restrictions soon though, because I'm ready for a camping trip.

About camping. All the more reason I'll be showing up mid day Friday before the rain.

I plan on arriving mid day Friday with some camping gear. If it still looks like rain I will forego the tent and just sleep in the back of the 4Runner.

It beats driving 100+ miles in the rain just to get there and risk getting caught in traffic.

I'm gonna have to bow out on this one

Quick summary: 3-month old battery in my truck died. No conclusive evidence of a recurring parasitic drain but my truck's VIN# falls within a range affected by a bad batch of JBL stereo amps known to drain the battery with the ignition off. I'll be extracting the suspect JBL amp this weekend and performing major stereo re-wiring.

It sucks when your car doesn't start.

How much gear is actually going to be required for the trail? I have straps, tools, winch, and hi lift, but some of my other stuff has already gotten moved back to Phoenix.

I'm going to defer that to [MENTION=77357]85straight[/MENTION]. Rain and the resulting erosion would have to be bad to require full trail gear. It all depends on the weather.

I don't know what the campsites look like so I'm not sure if I can fit extra people or not. I have my own site and TK-422 booked a site. $25 / night.

I guess the better question is, will i need to bring extra fuel? or if i top off in hemet i should be good?
