Cove Camping Inquiry

a few questions for some of "the cove veterans:"

1. Is there anywhere to climb / boulder?
2. Within the designated campsite are there specific sites which are surrounded by trees? I have a Tentsile tent* and was hoping to bring it along; otherwise I'll pull a page from MTN4RNR's book and sleep in "Hotel 4Runner."
3. In terms of bringing food/drink - fair to say that you bring enough for yourself + friends?

*basically I need three trees that are a minimum of 16 feet apart. here's an example of it from an old camping trip to WV:

I can only answer these two specifically.

2. There are plenty of trees around, just got to find a spot.
3. Bring enough food and drink for yourself plus, only because you'll go through beer faster than you expect. Otherwise there's a Walmart about 10 minutes down the road. Stay tuned for the info about the cookout. Last year we all brought or made something to go with the food Scott made.

Call them up at The Cove to ask about climbing. A local told me there are caves to explore but I've never seen them...

i am new to the forum and live in Harpers Ferry, WV. I would like to come camping for sure and get to know some cool folks. I wouldn't be able to make until Saturday evening. Would it still be cool to attend? Please let me know and thanks. I will come prepared for the pot luck
