Odd Sounds from Trail Edition

[Perfection]

I've owned my TE since February of this year, and I've only noticed this twice. It's happened when the vehicle has been parked for hours. It sounds like a small motor running in the rear in towards the left side. It's like the truck is possessed or something. Anyone have an idea or experienced anything of the like?

It's got something to do with your fuel pump.....I think, perfectly normal and I am sure someone will chime in soon.

Before you give [MENTION=48772]Jesse1983[/MENTION] an aneurysm...

Reference pg 24 of your manual, look for: "For Your Information":

'Noise from under vehicle after turning off the engine.'
Approximately five hours after the engine is turned off, you may hear sound
coming from under the vehicle for several minutes. This is the sound of a fuel
evaporation leakage check and, it does not indicate a malfunction.
