I purchased my 01 SR5 about 3 weeks ago that had 101,000 miles showing. But before I did, I saw a carfax report. At one point years ago it said that a mechanic had noted a mileage discrepancy. It also said that could very easily be a clerical error. As good as it looked, I assumed the clerical error.
My question is this: How would the milage be wrong? Isn't that info stored in the computer?
The truck looks great with great interior. I have crawled under it and for the most part, it is very clean. The only reason I am wondering about the mileage is because of some of the things i am now finding wrong. Valve Cover gaskets are leaking a little, there is a decent amount of oil on the lower side of the engine, the rear end has what I think is a bearing going out, all of the dash bulbs were burnt out.
It runs great and everything works except things I listed above.
