OEM Foglight Question

When I did my install (1999 with factory fog wiring) I went to the local dealer and bought a switch with the fog light control on it--removed the cover around the steering column and it was plug and play. I could have just used another switch but I would have had to do some wiring and wouldn't have had the factory look.

That's interesting to know. I'd like to see what you are talking about. Are you saying that something like this will not work and additional parts are necessary? I don't want to do the stalk because it's costly but if it's just a plug n play thing I reckon I will bite the bullet.

I'll post pics when I get a chance. I will say that the "doner" 4Runner was a 99 (I think) while my 4Runner is a 2001. So, perhaps the issue that I had was due to a design change between years...I didn't dig into it that much to be honest.
