I completed the head unit swap on my 2011 SR5.
I had the non-jbl hands free w/Sat head unit, I upgraded to a 2014 TE Entune w/nav non-JBL HU. I also had the backup camera in the mirror.
During the swap I also add the ability to switch the backup camera on at will
per the write up "backup camera switch mod" by (sp8ball/antman)
So why Entune? I don't like the look of aftermarket HUs, I know they are more capable and have more options. I personally like the look and design of OEM especially with the current 4runners. I think Entune apps are a little hokey, and I probably wont use them, but in general the 2014 HU is way better than what I had!

Entune HU, I used a 2014 I think any year will work ('10-'15). 2014 & 2015 have a few more bells and whistles.
GPS antenna - 86860-35090
20/8 to 28 Pin adapter – PT546-00120-CH
AM/FM antenna adapter - PT546-001200-AD
24 PIN harness connector (needed for backup Camera) – 90980-12200
Terminal wires (3x) needed for camera connector – 82998-12870
SAT antenna adapter – SFA12F
I also purchased a month worth of access to Mitchell1 for T4R wire diagrams (needed to do this work). Thank you Rigtec for pointing me to them!
For the most part this was plug and play. The only work came when I pulled wires for the backup camera. I tapped into the signal behind the overhead console, 3 wires were needed, video +/- and reverse. As mentioned before I also wired in a rocker switch to enable the backup camera feed at will.
I have it wired so when in reverse the backup feed shows in the mirror and the HU, when switched (driving down the road) it only shows in the mirror.
All the 2011 steering wheel controls works as designed, the 2014 has the paddle controls I know, I will have to navigate the HU from the unit itself, since I don't know how slick the 2014 steering wheels controls are I guess I wont miss them.
I had a local electronics shop swap out the LEDs from blue to orange. I went through a couple different colors and none seemed to match, We finally decided to pull the LEDs off my "old" radio and put them on the "new". This was my biggest hurdle and concern about doing the swap, but it worked out ok. Obviously my old radio is now junk though. I tried 633nm and 625nm LEDs, I think 610-620nm would be close enough, if you're wondering.
I had one last issue to address before I was done the TE HU is gloss black metallic, I have the satin silver metallic interior. I initially was going to paint the entire unit but the buttons were going to be a impossible so I wound up paint everything but the that. I had to have a local auto paint shop match the paint which they did perfectly.
