OEM Shock Absorber Differences

Looks like there are 4 different OEM shock absorber part #s. I have a 1997 2WD SR5 and I'm wanting the smoothest ride possible.
I would be lying if I told you what kind I have on currently, but I can say there is a huge difference in ride quality between my wife's 2000 Limited 2wd and mine. My 4runner has a very stiff ride. As my DD over about 15 miles of terrible Louisiana interstate this gets very old.

I think going to new OEM shocks will help improve this the most.

Any insight into which of these will give me the best ride and if they are interchangeable or not?

Seeing you have a 2WD SR5, this one's the one you want:

There's no difference in the ride quality of the 4 parts, rather a matter of correct fitment. They are all Tokico shocks. Also, if your struts are also really stiff, you're not going to feel much of a different in the front by replacing the rear shocks.
