OEM Tacoma LCAs work on 3rd T4rs????

I have an opportunity to get some brand new OEM LCAs from a 2002 Tacoma from a guy I bought the Tacoma from. I sold the Tacoma already but if the LCA will work on my 1996 Limited Im going to buy them. I think he wants 250 for the pair. Apparently they already have better ball joints and bushings installed so all I would have to do is throw them on when I put on my Highlander springs? 5100s

I think the sway bar link mount is different on the A-arm, so you'll need to convert the links to Tacoma parts if I'm not mistaken. The Tacoma ball joints don't work. Well, according to some flop of a thread in this forum, it uses a different casting that is shaped in a way that makes it look stronger. This made some forum-goers think that installing Tacoma ball joints turned our 4Runners into a 3/4 ton truck class competitor.

The reality is that the failure point is no different on the Taco part, and you get some metal to metal contact somewhere underneath because these trucks aren't as identical as forums make them seem.
