OEM Toyota Bug Guard

and in the end we are still... talking about a bug shield. I was JOKING about the canadian thing. YOu can make fun of me because Im from missouri if it makes you feel better! Anyways iforce lets squash this before anyone else joins in. OK?
 
Yea, they totally can. They have these little brackets that screw into the underside of the hood that fold around to the front where the actual bug shield is, and they can scrape the paint off

But for me, mine is leased, and it was factory installed, and i don't plan on taking it off.

But if i do, i'll just tell them to repaint it. Since they put it on.

With mine, there a rubbery layer that is in between the clips and the actual hood. This protects it from rubbing and stuff, but when would you take off the front hood deflector anyways?

I'll make fun of you...just kidding. I lived in Missouri (or is it Misery) for 7 years. Nothing to poke fun at there--now if you said you were from Arkansas, that would be a different story.

As far as asking questions of this board versus doing research on your own, I view them as very similar exercises. If the point of doing research is gathering information in order to make an informed decision/purchase, then asking a question of this board is one step of the research process. I think most people here would research on there own, ask people who know (this board) and then make an informed decision.
 
FYI - not sure if other states get this, or other dealers for that matter, but toyota sends me some coupons every month... cheaper oil changes, 20% of TRD stuff, etc. bug shield was $74.99 - I took it into the parts dept, and even they were astonished...
 
I have no problem providing or asking for information as well. As far as doing prior research......Please..... This "is" a research site and members are here in good spirit to provide any assistance they can lend!!!!! I may be a "newbie" but good manners are good manners!!! I dont have my digi cam at work so I can t upload the pics, but I am very satisfied with the fit and finish of the lund interceptor.

You cannot beat the price either, 40 bucks shipped!

So we're helping you save money because you typed a couple words out? I mean.... how easy would it be for me to come in here, without looking around, and asking where is the cheapest place for filters... accessories....etc.

As for the Bug guard... most of the private collision stores can get things cheaper from the dealership then you and I can. If you know a friend that has connections to a dealership or the salesperson can get things cheaper too.
