This is exactly what I was contemplating. They look great. There is someone local selling a set near me for a good price. You just sold me! What tires you thinking?

I'll go out in the shed and snap a pic of them complete with center caps, which will really make your day.

I'm going with Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70-17. Reviews are great, and they are only $135 each on Amazon

Logman, here ya go! What I really liked about the FJ wheels is that the center caps, although plastic, have a removable aluminum cover, so I was able to powder coat that, color matching the center cap. Too many wheels out there have plastic center caps and finding paint to match powder can sometimes be a real headache. The actual plastic part and the Toyota logo were sprayed skin black with Krylon Fusion.

Here they are in a couple different levels of sunlight. I will be making plate bumpers, rock sliders, and a roof rack and will be powder coating them this same color.

They look great. I'm partial to black wheels but that gold really pops. I didn't know that about the center caps, good to know. Make sure to put up some pics when you get them on your rig. Maybe you can sway me to hop on the gold train.

Nice!! In the sunlight it looks like a really beautiful root beer color. I dig it.

Yeah I was gonna say, not a "good" pic but definitely better than mine lol. I still can't decide if I like them enough to buy new tires and put them on. Ugh

Also, the "black" is actually a deep metallic grey with a little sparkle in it in the sunlight.

Truck has a small rough country lift (1-2")

Contrary to what tire size comparison calculators say, these 265 70 17 oem Bridgestone tires are actually slightly taller than the 265 75 16 Grabber AT2's

Now I'm on the search for some good 245/255 75 17 rubber!

If you look back a few pages, at my post. i have the same wheels with 255/80/17 km2's. Also sitting at around 2" of lift. May help you visualize

Look at ohtsu, the Japanese parent company to Falken. Same tires, better price. I run them on my G8 and will run them on my 4runner.

looks sick...almost same exact lift and same wheels/spacers...how do the tires fit? I have 33's with no rubbing, I imagine you had rubbing and had to hammer out the pinch welds???what about a front differential drop?

I bought some 5th gen 4runner rims. They came off of a 2011. I haven't seen many 3rd gens with these on them yet.
