Off Road Bumper Diagram?

Lucky for me, my girlfriend's family owns a full metal shop and staffs a few welders who are willing to help me make an off road bumper. To make it easier, I've been searching for diagrams for a simple, steel front bumper that I can mount 2 D Rings on and MAYBE a winch, but nothing crazy. I haven't been able to find anything.

Can anyone help me find some schematics or should I just basically design one myself?

Also, they have steel and aluminum we can use and the equipment to weld it - which should I choose?

Thanks!

Most companies dont sell any plans as that would mean that anyone could make their bumpers, and they wouldnt make as much money. Best bet is to design your own.

As for material, depends on what you want to do with it. They both have goods and bads. Steel is stronger, but heavier, and aluminum is weaker but lighter (and more expensive).

Hey man, let me know if you get your hands on any plans or diagrams. Fabing a bumper is really my only option up here in Canada.
