Off Road/ Winter tires for '13 Limited

Does anybody know what size tire I can put on my 20" stock rims. From online research it doesn't look like any tires fit on 4Runner Ltd Stock rims.

I'm in the same boat. There are a few choices. I'm considering 275/55r20 nitro terra grapplers. Had a blowout on the geolanders yesterday with less than 5000mi. Not a lot of confidence in those tires right now.

Selection is limited on the stock 20" wheels, but the tires are available. Tirerack.com shows both the OEM tires (Bridgestone Dueler and Yokohama Geolander) as well as the Blizzaks in stock.

Agreed. You will have 10x the options and some of the tires can be cheaper. Best of both worlds IMHO.

I have the goodyear silent armors (which they are discontinuing) 275/55 r20 and they are severe weather rated. Been happy so far. The best A/T snowflake badged tire I discovered to run year round.

I got the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1s that fit the stock 20s and the snow/ice performance was unbelievable. Best winter car I ever owned. So good in fact I transferred over the setup to my new GX.

Are you looking for winter tires or winter tires that you can also take off road? They can be two very different things.

I just mounted a set of nokian hakkapeliitta 7 studded 275/55r50 on the factory 20" wheels and they are awesome!

I'm under the impression that the LTD cannot support 17" rims due to the XREAS. do you know otherwise?

That is false. Tons of people on this forum run 17s on their limited.

I run 17" FJ Cruiser Steel wheels with BF Goodrich AT KO 265/70/17's in the winter, and the stock wheel/tire set in the summer on my stock LE. I use my free 5K rotation to have them switched out in the spring and fall. The low tire indicator light on the dash comes on because I don't switch out the valve stems, but it's not an issue.

If you are looking for a winter tire, I run Blizzaks on mine and they are great winter tires. Had a set of nokian hakkapeliitta 7 studded on my Sequoia before switching over to the 4R and they were the best winter tires I have ever owned. Got me through some pretty sketchy situations.
