Offical 3rd gen BS thread

You really think he's lying? Until Singtoe posts a reason we won't know why he deleted it. But the moderaters can check who or why threads were deleted. Why would Steeze lie about this?

I'll leave open the possibility he is telling the truth.

I'm just one of about 3-5 people who were reading and posting along with that thread last night when all this went down. I know what was said before everything was deleted, and the tone of the conversations weren't pretty.

It's plausable for me to believe that Singtoe got really pissed off bc he felt he was being censored last night, which he was, and said, "screw everyone on this forum, i'm deleting my threads and if you want help with a V8 conversion go to hell."

Until I hear it from the horses mouth I will believe it was deleted by a moderator who was either in wabbits back pocket or was pissed a Singtoe. I hope for the sake of this forum that it wasn't a moderator.

Why would Singtoe put so much effort into it and then just delete it?

Based on this statement:
'Censorship Sucks. The who idea of free speech and what is thrown out. If some body wanted to know about a product weather it be an outrageously over priced of nuts and bolts called a sway bar disconnect or the falsely described cold air intake, people search the web to find out these things.

I understand that libel and slander and uncalled for and should be handled with but these censored post weren't. We don't even get an explanation on what is going on. It is just Gone. I have not said any untruths or trolled around. I have always tried to do my my best to help everyone out and to be slapped on the wrist for not doing anything wrong is a bunch of dookie.

C-Ya'

I doubt the removal was voluntary

while i dont think that singtoe deleted posts in his thread, i do think that he deleted his entire thread, and no i dont think he is coming back, look at the last thing he wrote... "C'ya" he left on his own will, he is not banned, he is still a registered user. i am still curious as to who and or why some of the post in his thread were deleted to begin with. either way, i think snOw is right, steeze isnt lying, he has nothing to lie about, or stands to gain nothing by lying. as far as the carrot eater is concerned:sniper: "shhh, be werry werry quwiate, im :hunter: wabbits" -elmer fudd

So i caught up on all the drama :keyboard: very good read by the way, much better then my art history homework :bravo: but anyways, i dont understand why this thread would be deleted. i had read the whole thing and congratulated him on his awesome work, but now that it is no where to be found i am in a bit of a pickle because i told my girls father (who is a mechanic) about a guy on here that did a v8 swap, he was super pumped and excited about it. i emailed him the link and of course when he clicks on it there isnt anything there, making me seem like a liar. i really dont care how it went away i just really hope it finds its way back to this site, because i, like so many others come here for the sole purpose of learning, and that thread was an extremely helpful one.

since it seems like this site is all politics anyway, i say we, the community, should decide who can and cannot delete threads and how its decided... just my $0.02

EDIT : I AM NOT CITY_RIDER!!!!

Guys, we all agreed to the terms and conditions of this site in order to participate as a member. Those conditions state that ownership of posts/threads does not reside with the author, but the owner of the site. We all agreed that said owner can do whatever they wish with these posts, for their own reasons. The reason could have been personal, business-related, accidental, whatever. Whether or not we agree with the reason Singtoe's (who has always been very helpful to me) posts were deleted, we must respect the terms that the owner of this site has put forth. We each agreed to them.

That's entirely too democratic - the owners of this site would never go for it as it would inevitably reduce the size of their wallet. Ya can't please everyone but if you censor everything no one will know who you pissed off.

Just because we agreed to the terms doesn't mean we can't be outraged by the way the authority is used. By being a US citizen we are all subject to indefinite detention, that doesn't mean we should sit back and take it. Same here.

We have the right to be outraged.

I bet you read the entire thing before you signed up eh?

I received an email stating that V8 Conversion thread was missing. After some investigation, looks like it was in fact deleted by Singtoe. I undeleted it for now until we hear back from Singtoe. Busy with other stuff right now, will catch up with the drama later tonight.

^ I don't think the mods were treating us unfairly. I think most if not all of the moderators care about this site and it's users. The thread was restored, there were post deleted. But for somewhat reasonable reasons as far as I understnad.

I have been emailing back and forth with the mods and they are most helpful.

With a whole lot of posts missing... So the phoenix was resurrected but had its wings clipped. Never to fly again...

as far as I can tell nothing technical was removed, granted I don't have it memorized so maybe some stuff was. But the meat of the thread appears to still be there, which is what I personally was most concerned about.

Now while it is restored I suggest everyone who cares, should archive the thread on your hard-drive. In fact, you should archive all your favorite threads/posts and if someone tries to censor them again. You can repost them all day long to your hearts content and just laugh and laugh.
