Judging by your previous predictions, that means it will be the Pens and Hawks. I can dig that...
 
Word is the Pens have extended an offer to Chico Resch to help them out.

Their two beer league goalies and team in general isn't getting it done.

Amen. They're playing like poo not doing anything right...I think that they'll rally around fleury though.
 
Was really looking forward to an amped-up Game 7. Nothing like it. Boston ate the same poison they used to beat Toronto I guess.

Now I have to wait til Sept before I can see a sport I give a crap about. Will enjoy the beach and my 4Runner in the meantime.
 
I was so disinterested at this point I missed the game. Thought it was only game 5. Oh well. At least Boston lost.

So how do you feel about your new coach? Seems like neither of them could get it done, so they just switched spots/coasts/conferences...

Ya. We'll see. A part of me thinks that they need someone a little more aggressive behind the bench to give them shit for not playing hard enough. One of Vigneault's mantras was "keep calm, carry on". Seemed evident from the way the team played.

Mostly though I would rather have seen the GM fired than the coach. Vigneault had a pretty good record in Vancouver and Gillis hasn't really made any useful moves and has kind of made a mess of the goalie situation.

PS- After re-reading my previous post I realize it sounds kind of snotty. I was still interested, just didn't have the time to watch most of the games right now. Still wish i got to see the last one though.
 
Is it me or is there something very strange about this Seth Jones kid?

Says he is ecstatic and "at a loss for words" with a complete deadpan look on his face. Must be trained not to smile or show any emotion.

Kid's going to be a historic bust.

Yup. I was surprised but an unbelievable deal especially considering other offers Vancouver was considering. Lamoriello at his best. It's why he's the best GM in sports. Very important move on so many levels. Aside from the obvious need, prospective UFA's now know the Devils have their goalie of the future. Will help attract solid talent.
