Wait...I mean I understand rigs because it can be applied to anything such as my guitars, ships, trucks, oil platforms...but whip? I don't understand. I'm just not seeing the relationship between whip and truck. It really doesn't make sense. I'm guessing that's what my coworker means when he talks about his "whip" as he refers to his little G35? Idk. :nono:

Getting ready for winter - Yokohama Geolander I/T G072 in the 315/75/16 flavour:
Gears and lockers are at the border waiting for me (4.88's, e-locker rear, ARB front) and so I am stoked to get them on. The supercharger handles the big tires relatively well but it the mileage suffers.

how big of a gap is that between the body and bumper? im thinking of a body lift on mine and that gap dosnt look bad so what size boy lift are you running? i tried looking for a bulid thread for yours but couldnt find one

Yessir! I went with 35" winter's before mud tires... They're coming in the spring.
I haven't run them yet - should be able to put them through their paces this year. They were recommended by a fellow 3rd Gen owner who loved them. They're a pretty sticky rubber with lots of siping along with deep tread blocks - definitely looking forward to seeing how they perform.
I am running a 1" body lift but I have used a weather strip from McMaster-Carr to help fill the gap between the body and bumpers. It's worked out extremely well and I am very happy with the results. You can kind of see the strip on the picture you quoted, it's attached to the bumper, grips on to the edge and then protrudes upwards to help cover the gap. Before I installed it I had the ugly air intake showing in the back, now it's covered.

they are in a 285 in the 17" rims, but only a 275 in the 16s... still a great tire and come highly recommended!

Well I am going to switch the order but just going to do a 305/70-16. Until I do upper arms I think its my safe bet and what I should do. Either way its a big tire. Plus I just ordered my new TG rails friday too so I've got money wrapped up in that.

that tire is amazing, i ran it for a season(in the 265 flavor) and did a couple snow wheeling trips with them, and a couple of weekend trips down to big lake -sisters area oregon, and they did wonderful i want to get another set, but i dont think i can justify the cost of a snow only tire, idk maybe i can though...

It's a Shrockworks front bumper that's been bed lined (along with all my armour) and the roof rack is a Baja Rack which has been trimmed in the front to allow the light bar to sit back (and mounts were added) and then I made up the front faring to help deflect some wind.
