I saw that you titled it Pilot Rock, but I think Miller Canyon is close. At least relatively. Your pics look like a trail that I've been on quite a few times over the years. I think the exit your talking about off of the 15 is the 138. Gone up the mountain that way a few times. My family has a house in Lake Arrowhead. Been going up to that area pretty much my entire life. Was actually up for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago. We went to the gun range in Pilot Rock area. Good times. Theres some cool stuff up in that area.

Your truck is looking good. The Blizzard TE conversions look awesome. And it's always good to see people enjoying their 'Runners.

Your probably right then... I think our destination was "pilor rock" but we did go through a "138". You would know more since it's your "hood".

Its not an extremely hard trail but I would say is somewhat challenging, especially in mud.

We should go together one of these days and you can show me some new routes!

Ha ha, I don't know that I would call it my hood, but I'm somewhat familiar with the area. Your right, it isn't a very difficult trail, but it's nice to spend a chunk of the day rolling through. The big runoff puddles are fun when their there too. There's a loop trail somewhere near that that has these up and over hill off shoots that have varying degrees of skill/comfort level obstacles.

I'd like to try and meet up sometime up there. Always like having an excuse to get up there. But not sure when I could do it. Decided to go back to school so money and time are going to be a little slim for a bit. But hopefully we can work something out in the not to distant future.

And, yes, of course. Can always appreciate a nice looking rig.

Took my first trip wheeling this truck. All in all I am quite happy with it. I was a little sad about selling the 4Runner, but after today that sadness is gone. Some rock sliders are definitely coming in short order. Enough talk, more pics!

Almost, she was born on Christmas day.

Thanks! I am really happy with the Tundra. We are working on some custom rock sliders here in a week or two, then on too armoring it up. It is definitely different on the trails than the 4Runner was, has a much larger footprint, but it is pretty damn good as it is. I almost did a 6" lift, glad I said no to "bro" and stuck with the OME stuff

I am also finally shooting with a real camera. Photos were all taken with an Olympus E-PM1 with a 14-42MM lense. I have not started tweaking settings in it yet so its stock. I am taking a photography class next month and then i will start tackling all that craziness :hungry:

It is an HDE Inclinometer. They used to be on Amazon but I just searched and could not find one to link you. I will look around online and try to find one for ya.

Ya we go out to that old house for picnics with the kids a lot. It is a turn around spot to avoid 3hrs of switchbacks if we don't want to make a full day out of it. I think this trip I loved him being in the bed more than he did as half way through the trip he took a nasty dump back there and I did not have to smell it and waste the fresh water I had to clean it up :wow:

In a vehicle that long you are going to need at least 6" of lift to make it comparable to your old 4Runner's approach/departure and break over angles.

Yeah, I'm going to just do bumpers eventually, that will help approach and departure. The 6" kits are all drop bracket kits and I'm not too into that.
