Can't remember if I've posted here. Am a member at a CrossFit box; however, this one's decent, as the owners know their stuff - one's got a medical degree, all are certified way above the basics, one's the local weightlifting coach @ the nearby high school, one's a physical fitness major, etc.
I was/am kind of their test, as I've had:
- L5/S1 herniated disc surgery
- 2 decompressions on my left shoulder
- 1 on my right
- bilateral carpal release surgeries on my left and right hands
- first dorsal tendon release on my left wrist
- and surgery on my left ankle to remove part of the ankle bone when I snapped it off
Despite that, here are my current totals:
The "Big 3":
- bench - 255#
- deadlift - 405#
- squat - 355#
Other lifts:
- clean & jerk - 205#
- static shoulder press - 185#
- push jerk - 245#
Not the best by far, but then again, given that I'm 37 with about 8 surgeries under my belt, my only REAL limitation is lifting insanely heavy on certain lifts so as to avoid exacerbating my herniated disc, so I'm happy with that. Not trying to be the best...just healthy.
