lol I don't use steroids and I am not trying to look manly. I don't bench heavy, my focus is my booty and legs, so I do lots of lower body heavy lifting!
do you do alot of deep squats.

Just below parallel. :thumb:
Be sure to add lots of lateral raises for your outer delts. Gives you a nice V-look and makes the waist look smaller.
...Not saying you have a big waist...:bump2:
Ha! it's ok. I knew what you meant and yes, all women want a small waist. I injured my shoulder over the summer somehow and it is still pretty mad at me so I don't do much with my shoulders or chest. If I do work them, I try not to go too heavy out of fear of irritating it even more. I am a PTA student (physical therapy assisting) so I will be learning all about these wonderful injuries soon.

i had to stay out the gym for almost a year because of a shoulder injury.. i couldnt do bench presses without the nex few days feeling like someone ripped my arm out of my socket.. it feels so good to not have that pain anymore..
Ouch! Yea sounds like my pain now. I can't sleep most nights without waking up to the pain. It's almost always there now. I have the hardest time lifting my arm over my head now. Makes getting dressed REAL fun!i had to stay out the gym for almost a year because of a shoulder injury.. i couldnt do bench presses without the nex few days feeling like someone ripped my arm out of my socket.. it feels so good to not have that pain anymore..

im praying for no permanent repercussions from my break. I cant wait to bench again
both db and bb will be ok.. focus on your diet, being consisitent, and you only need to train every other day to build mass.. dont overtrain or it will take longer.. your mucles grow when your resting them and sleeping.Does it make any difference to press with dumbells, rather than a barbell (I got a teny tiny gym at my workplace). I started out lightly just to stay fit (start by running a couple of miles and light weights), but before I knew, I moved on to bigger weights, and now mix chest, shoulders, arms and back every other day. Unfortunately, I have a very lean frame, so it will take LOTS of time and calories to build some mass.
i know exactly what your going thru.. i used to be afraid to play basketball with my son or football or sleep wrong.. even just to rest it was painful..Ouch! Yea sounds like my pain now. In another 2.5 yrs I will be able to! :bounce:
back workouts.
is it best to always stay wide grip for everything (pull ups, lats, rack chins) or should i mix it up to do both narrow and wide grip? i feel with narrow grip you dont work as many muscles but could be wrong
asimdada dumbbells are perfect. i never do bars... mostly cause i never have a spotter but db's i feel also work more groups and help with balance
