most people dont do squats correctly, dont know how to flex their hip abductors.
...and that's why I mentioned the fact that they don't 'focus' on hip adductors. It would have been much better to say it as you have above, true.
(I know this because I've had pretty severe pain in my pelvis for the last 8 months straight, and part of the problem was indeed due to semi-incorrect squatting form. Soon as I learned to do it correctly as you mention above, my squat dropped literally 75# or so, BUT everything else felt GREAT after performing the squats.)
