I don't think there's one of these yet.

Lets hear it. What do you ride? Where do you ride? How long? Best experiences? Favorite brands? Pictures? Anything.
Lets see it!

I'll start. Here's my brand new 2014 Lib Tech Skate Banana 156W. With some 2014 Union Force bindings.

I also got the 2014 ThirtyTwo Lashed boots.
Got her for a steal! Paid $550. Retails at 1200 :girl:

I still have my first board, a Burton Brushie. I prefer to ride my Lamar fatty, but I haven't been on either in years. I'm going to try to take my boy up a couple times this year, he's old enough.

Well i HAD a Arbor Westmark 156 with some flow bindings....until my dumbass left the garage open one night:ybrick:

But i plan on getting another soon. As far as riding it sucks here in so cal with exception a few good storms a season....so i hightail up to mammoth:becky:

Have you had a chance to ride the banana yet? how does it compare to any previous boards you had? I have a chance to get one for a decent price but i dont ride a whole lot of park so im hesitant

I had posted a similar thread a couple months back…or was it last season lol. Here's a couple pics of the mountain slayers that I've used over the years.

I'll ride about half the season and ski the other half. Never Summer makes the most badass boards on the planet, bar none. I have 2 Evos mounted with some Ride Contraband Nitranes and Union Flites, but the 159 Heritage is the new hotness:

I haven't yet. I'm headed to brighton on wednesday for my first ride of the season :)

After that, I work for zumiez and the top 1000 salesman get an all expense paid vacation to KEYSTONE. i'm number 182 :) I get to chill with all the pros, owners of vendors, and get TONS of free stuff :)

When I ride it, i'll let you know how it feels and reacts. I bought it knowing its a park board, but i've read great reviews for park to powder.

Even if you arent a park rat, you will love this board. Park/freestyle boards are much softer, easier riding boards. When you get to the all mountain/big mountain boards, you see a much stiffer flex pattern and torsional rigidity for higher speeds and choppy snow.

Honestly, the combo of soft flex, rocker/camber, and magne-traction makes it a killer board for any terrain. The only way I would suggest a different board would be if you are only riding powder and bombing groomers.

Exactly my thoughts. It will be an amazing board!

Haha. They do. I love my job! The perks are awesome and I get to work with snowboards and all the other stuff I enjoy!

Here's a good thread I can finally tell/vent my snowboard situation.

Me and my wife live in NYC so storage space is always a issue in our apartments, so we moved about 6 months ago to a new apt and gave all our old stuff/furniture to my wife's sister and husband who live in Massachusetts and since they where heading back with a moving truck we decided to have them bring our snow boards and all our riding gear to my mother in laws for storage until winter. Now fast forward to Thanksgiving we are sitting there after dinner and me and my wife were talking about how we where thinking of going to Vail for NYE to go snowboarding, and that's when it all came out! My wife's sister says listen don't get MADD I promise where gonna pay you back ,,,,,, so basically my wife's siters Lazy husband in stead of bringing my our boards to here mothers house left them in a storage bin at his work 3 months prior,, but in the meantime he has since left the company and went work for another so it turns that when he went back to get our stuff his boss got pissed at him and let somebody take all our stuff out of the storage unit! Oh but it gets better, as the story is un folding he now works back for the same guy and knows the guy who took my sh-- and has done nothing about it, mind you this happened months ago and he just decided that i I guess I would be ok with it and he would just give us the money. are you kidding ! You should of seen his face drop when I told him it was about $2500 worth of boards and gear! So I basically made him drive me to the guys house ( here we are it's Thanksgiving night) I'm trying to be calm throughout all this. Basically it was a big run around the guy said his cousin had them but he moved to jersey , it turned into the whole he said she said bull---- I pretty much said you have two options you guys give me $2k or you can deal with the cops, well there was a third option but it probably wouldn't have gotten my boards back although it pry would of made me fell a little better:boxing: but you know I'm trying to be grown these days. Needless to say I have $2k to buy me and my wife some new set ups, still not enough to make up for everything I had but whatta ya gonna do. At the end of the day it's her sister husbands fault he's a idiot but its family and again whatta ya gonna do. Sorry for writing a book lol it's still touchy subject and of course being it's riding season and I don't have my boards!!! But gonna have new boards soon enough.

The boards I did have
Burton sleven 165 ,cartel bindings, burton boots ( don't remember which ones)
That was my mountain cruiser/powder crusher
K2 world wide weapon(wide) 156 complete set up (don't remember boots bindings) park and all around fun board just got it the season before last, loved that board!
My wife's board was also a k2 complete set up don't remember exactly which board.

Lol. I hate when stuff like that happens. On the bright side, you get new gear! :girl:

My suggestion, go into a local Zumiez. We price match and always have an employee who knows what they are talking about. *most of the time*. Ask to work with the manager. They'll know their shit. I price match boards, boots, and bindings all the time and i'm sure they will too.
Or try Snowboard, Snowboards, Burton Snowboards, Burton Bindings, Burton Boots, and snowboard reviews - Free Shipping - US Orders Over $50 or Skate, Surf & Snowboard Gear | Clothing from Burton, Volcom & More | Dogfunk.com or Outdoor Gear & Clothing: The North Face, Marmot, Patagonia & More | Backcountry.com

EDIT: The links turned out weird but do check them out.

156 for the win. I ride everything from park to powder, groomers to cliffs, so I had to have something versatile for everything.

snowboard ?

Just returned from Aspen/Snowmass Spring Break Snowboarding trip. I am a convert from Ski's to Board as of last year. This was my 2nd trip for snowboarding. I am hooked now and tired of renting equipment. I wanted to run this by some of you guys who have been boarding for a while and see if this seems like a decent setup for me. I learned on a Burton Superhero 154cm. This past trip they gave me a Burton 155 cruzer. Both times had the Burton Cartel bindings. I took a lesson and we basically went down every blue run at Snowmass. The cruzer seemed to chatter on some of the steeper blues as I got to higher speeds if that makes sense? Not sure if I was riding beyond the capability of the board or if I need a different size or something. The instructor said I am ready for blacks next trip. At 47 years old I just want to ride down the mountain on the blues or easier blacks to get away from the crowds. Maybe as I progress I can attempt some jumps, switch stance.

Anyway, looking at the Never Summer Legacy which is a mid wide all mountain board. I wear a size 12 so I think this would be best for me as far as width. Looking at the 156cm board. Does this sound like a good choice for me to ride blues/blacks groomed, ungroomed. Looks like it from the description on Never Summer site but always good to run by those that have more experience.

What bindings would you guys suggest. In my limited experience I have only used Burton Cartels but these seem pricey and not sure if there is something else that compares at a lower price ? Unions?

Here are some mountain photo's. This has been at great year for the ski resorts in Colorado. It was awesome !
