Oh boy--new toys!!

Don't ya' just LOVE getting new toys/mods/parts for the rig! Finally got some armor for the beast--the ARB I've had for a while, but it needs some serious fab and welding to make it work (it's a 1st Gen model I got for a great deal), and I just got the All-Pro sliders recently (off their nice sale last month). The wheels were kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing--I knew I needed two wheels for when I put on new treads, as I'm keeping two of the old tires for spares, so getting a set of four wasn't much of a stretch. I've often thought of getting some wheels like this, with the false beadlock (legal for street use) which adds an extra layer of steel at the rim, and they're not very expensive ($110 a pop).

I've got an appointment for getting the bumper installed next week, the sliders get painted this weekend and installed soon after, and once I get some beefy new BFG Mud T/A's, the wheels go on. I can hardly wait!

As for beadlocks on the street, you may wanna double check. In Tennessee and Colorado, they are legal for street use. I have yet to see anything for any state that says they're illegal for street use.

I'm going by the pro's comments on various store sites, etc., who have often commented about beadlocks being illegal on the street. I've never really checked into it personally, but then I don't want the expense of true beadlocks anyway, and I doubt I'll ever need them--it IS a 4Runner, not a rock buggy (LOL). I'll leave the super-hardcore to those with bigger bank accounts than me. The extra rim/tire protection (and admittedly, the style) are what I was after. Hopefully everything will be mounted up in the next couple weeks or so.

Wow, I must be stronger than I thought--I can easily carry the bumper by myself! In all actuality, I wouldn't mind putting a little ballast on the front--with my tool/storage box in back, the truck sags a bit in the rear. This may help balance it a bit.

Same as my current ones--35/12.5x15's, and the rims are 15x10's. After hearing about the usual increase in problems when going over 35", I decided this was tall enough (even though I could probably fit 37's with no additional mods).

Same bull bar-- I have a Warn HS 9500 in mine. It took a little trimming to make it fit as the 9500 is a little longer and thicker at the cooling fins.
