b I wish the V6 ran on 5W20 like my CR-V did as I've got a few dozen quarts of Pennzoil Platinum on the shelf that I don't have a car for right now.I have been Running 5W20 in my 04 since March 08, 30K miles now 111K Total miles. I have used Penzoil Platinum, Mobil 1, Quaker State Q-Power, at any given time. What ever is on sale or cheapest for the 5 Quart Jug at wally world. I have had no issues.
I have run 5W20 in my 08 since the first change at 2000 miles Then again at 5000, and every 5k ever since. I have a 100k warranty on it and will stay at the 5K until it is up then go to 6K like I have been doing with the 04 for 3-4 years now. 44K miles now. No issues.
My Closest Dealer runs 5W20 in thier Bulk lines. They told me they put it in almost everything 2000 and up.
I say use your stock of 5W20, send it in to Blackstone Just for piece of mind until you are comfortable with it.
I have always changed my oil at 3000 mi but reading after reading everybody's opinions I think I might be extreme for a change and take it to the 5000 mi mark and see how that does.:naughty:

Ended up going with the PP 5w-20 that I have on hand. Will pull a sample after a 3-5k miles and see how it's doing and post the results at T4R.org. Probably take me until at least June before I get there.

Every 5,000 miles -- time doesn't matter.
High Mileage Valvoline 10W-40 with a Toyota filter.
the 90915-2004 Denso Japanese filter.
Not the YZZD3 Thai one. Reminds me - I need to pick up a case of those filters as they're superior to EVERYTHING on the market.
...Toyota says you can go 7.5k on dino oil with the 90915-2004 Denso Japanese filter...
