oil cooler "o" rings 95 3vze auto

so the oil cooler on 3vze was leaking. I full the oil cooler out and i noticed that the "o" ring was cracked. I ordered a set of o rings from autozone and the only one that seems to resemble the original one seems to not fit. can anyone tell me if this is the way its supposed to go on there? and with time, pressure and the heat of the engine the o ring will just fit itself onto the block and the cylinder?

Not sure if that is how it is suppose to go on there or not. Mine was leaking a while back so I had the gaskets replaced. I got mine from the local toyota dealer and if I remember correctly it came with a couple different sized seals. Also about a week after we fixed it, the rear main seal started leaking. So you may have another bad seal as well, it just isn't showing because it is leaking from the oil cooler. Hopefully not though. Good luck!

Mine is an auto as well. The rear main is a pain. You have to remove the transmission, front driveshaft, and the list goes on to get to it.

if you have an old factory OEM toyota filter. just take the gasket of that. if not you can take on off a new one but since you can only get oem filter at dealer, your better off buying just the oring. now the oring along might not be instock and if you need it sooner than later. buy a filter
