Oil Filter Change Question

I preparation for getting my new TP, I am already looking at maintenance information, especially Changing the oil. I see that 0W20 seems to be the weight that is specified, M1 makes an excellent oil, I do like this weight selection.

Looking at the post made by Antman, that was a big help.

Now one question, can you modify the skip plate or cover and make an access port for the filter, a cover that can be removed so as to not going through all of this hassle of taking the skid plates or covers off?

Front plate doesn't have to be removed. Just unbolt and swing down an forward. Change oil filter, swing it back up, tighten 4 bolts and you are done. Really easy. GL

Besides, it takes what, 30 seconds to remove the front plate? Just did it yesterday and it is very easy. If you are going through the trouble of changing your own oil, this small step is not a big deal. Would be way more of a hassle to modify the plate to create an access door.
