Oil filter tube off center

Good evening,

I was wondering if it’s possible to install the oil filter bowl with filter and have the hole in the oil filter not line up with the tube inside the housing itself? I assume everything is concentric when the filter is installed on the bowl and ran up into the housing. Is this Murphy proof or is it possible that the filter could be cocked inside the housing?

You could check the tube is the center of the housing and make sure it is properly clipped into the bottom of the housing. Since you can remove it. I would suppose it could come lose and if it is not seated to the bottom of the filter housing correctly things would obviously not line up real well. Does not seem likely but you could check that

Are we talking miles off center or 1/16 of an inch? That tube is clipped inside and can move some. If it is not rattling or coming off then you are fine.
