I was looking around a few minutes ago and spotted this. I know I have leaky valve cover gaskets, but this looks more like a leak out of the bottom of the distributor. Does that sound like a valid assessment? I've got a 1990 3.0L
There is an o-ring gasket on the distributor which most likely needs replacing. The distributor needs to be removed to do this. There are write ups on this forum how to do this.
yup. remove dizzy and you will see an o ring that can be replaced. if you take the cap off and see oil inside than you need a new distributor as that o ring cant be replaced
