Ok Guys need sum help deciding on what to do.

i have an 03' 4x2 needs new tires and im still running with stock suspension. i need to get new shocks and springs as well. deciding time...i want to go up to 285/75/16 bfg at ko's (i know trimming...yada yada) not worried about that...where i lack knowledge is in the suspension area. i was reading around. OME, Icon(formally DR) blistein 5100 series...now for the help. im leaning towards coilovers. 3" front and 2.5 rear. (per wheelers offroad) 3" icon with TC a-arms no Remote Reservoir runs about $1650+ plus rear setup ($440 for shocks and springs) total $2 grand and change or do i go the Remote Reservoir route which would be with Remote Reservoir front 3" with tc arm $1850 +rear 2.5" res shock $798 with springs $220 total $2868. im an avid off road driver, but my runner is mostly a daily driver. when i go camping at lease 3-4 times a year i like to take it out off the road to let it really shine. and have fun...yes i like the 4runner to look good but at the same time i will sacrifice looking good for performance. opinions, thoughts, suggestions, options.. all welcome. please be detailed for reasoning though.

Just a thought, but why not use the money you are prepared to spend on upgrading the entire vehicle to a 4x4? I think you'll get just as much fun from a relatively stock 4x4 as you will from a lifted 4x2.

well, i would like to make the best of what i have already. dropping 3 grand into this 4runner will make me happy plus we(family) own a dodge ram 2500 diesel 4x4 that will be mine. so no real need for me to go out and by a 4x4 truck.

I have been looking into the ICON setup myself...personal opinion - save yourself the cash and go without the reservoirs. Based on what you described your driving habits to be, you won't need the reservoirs. Plus it will save you some $$$ for other 4Runner projects. OME is also a solid option!

so im going with a new rancho setup..cheaper and more suited for my driving.rancho quicklift struts and springs and rear rancho 9000 with new tires bfg at t/s ko's 285/75/16's total 1800
