Ok I give up — I can't find this part number for an antenna delete

I've tried to find this part number or even the post where I saw it and I can't seem to find either.

I want to just delete my radio antenna since I don't listen to the radio anymore.

I would just leave it be as is, but I think when the LBJ failed on the passenger side, somehow the antenna motor was hit by shrapnel or something and bust the motor loose from the brackets.

Then the PO had some crap aftermarket antenna installed that just sits loosely in the hole because it's not a Toyota antenna and it doesn't have the proper bezel. The whole thing is ghetto as hell and it squeaks since the motor is busted from the bracket and it pivots back and forth against the bracket.

Anyways, I don't want to spend good money to fix something I don't even use. I'd like to just yank the whole thing out and cap off the hole with something that looks OEM.

I recall seeing some OEM or OEM type cap that fits right into the old antenna hole to keep stuff out and it looks clean too.

Anyone recall seeing that part or post/thread it was in?

not sure what you have left to work with but you can unscrew the old antenna keeper and wrap your current with black tape then retighten the keeper. It will keep it firm and in place until you find what you are looking for. Just wrap it real clean at the base.
 
How about bending up a washer,
and sticking a bolt through and painting it? Maybe rubber washer in between to keep it from scratching the paint.

If you're just looking to cover the hole, you could get one of the universal fit Metra antennas and just use the boot and part of the body. They run about $15.
 
I was NOT "to legit to quit". I quit weed 27 years ago after 7 years of smoking & selling it. Slow, stupid & hungry is no way to go through life. :love:
 
I guess it effects everyone differently
There are plenty of professional productive people that use weed
It's a very good stress reliever and also helps you take a step back and look and things from a different prospective.
Just look at woodys build thread, it's filled with a lot of knowledgeable information. If one were to read it (without all the pothead remarks) ((which are my favorite)) you would not even think he was a stoner .

Now smoking it all day everyday that's a different story
slow, low energy and hungry would be ones personality trait for sure

Just thinking out loud no disrespect in any way brother!

That's only from legit sellers in Colorado up here it's still in baggies. Or from my buddies house the farm to table distance is less than a mile. Last year when I worked a landscaping crew we were at an old couples house putting in a retaining wall and the old guy comes out to tell us to be very careful around his "plants"

Hmmmm, I hadn't considered just throwing a dummy antenna on that isn't hooked to anything but still looks stock. I'll have to look into this.

I don't have anything usable to work with. The one that is in there now is pure crap.

At your suggestion I went out and tried this. Unsurprisingly, I was unable to fit a 30 gallon hefty bag into the hole...

I think I actually have a universal antenna from Orielies somewhere still in the package. I'll have to go hunt it down if still around.

I was already slow and stupid, so I figured being hungry was a fair trade for a lifetime of mello evenings, fascinating insight into my own mind, being able to step outside of my own thoughts and look at things in a unique (to me) perspective, great sex and no need/desire to drink alcohol or take drugs (I don't consider weed a drug). :D
