OME 881/906 rear sag?

I have a '00 with OME 881/906 setup and I'm getting some rear sag. Is this common with those springs? They are about 25k (KM) old.

In any case, would a couple 10mm spacers level me out?

I haven't measured it but it's quite visibly evident. I'll try to post a picture later this AM.

906's are barely tall enough to run with 881's IMO. Should rum some 890's in the back.

Is the best/cheapest way of fixing this a pair of spacers in the back? I was thinking of just getting 2 10mm spacers.....will this level things out?

I don't really want to replace the rear springs entirely unless spacers are just generally a bad idea or won't fix the problem.

2 10mm spacers per side should do the trick. But I think they're $10 each, so $40 total. You could probably find a used set of 890's for not much more and sell your 906's when you pull them out.

Like stated most likely its a little sagged and those springs are not that tall anyways. I would look in running 7 wrap lc coils, I have them and love the 3.5" lift they give.

906's are barely tall enough to run with the 98 coils I run up front, they are better than stock but they are only a half inch taller than the fronts.

So big difference between going with the spacers or the 890s would probably just be a stiffer ride on the 890s?

Anything I would need to worry about with spacers when I'm on the trail? I don't go rock crawling but we use it for canoe trips where we take quite a few ugly logger roads up North.

890's will probably ride a little nicer actually, taller softer spring rate. 7 wraps ride great nut they're a little too tall for your 881's IMO.

The 890s are awesome. Remember that they will settle a little after you have them on for a while. They may be too tall at first but just give them a little time.

I was just about to post this, I thought I had read that the springrate on the 906's was actually stiffer than the other OME springs. Using the proper spring for the job is the correct way to fix this, and I'm sure there are lots of guys with stock sagging rears that would LOVE to snap up your old 906's.

bump a slightly old thread

I'm assuming the 881's up front are without the top plate spacer? Is the general consensus 881(no top spacer) + 890's are pretty level? My PP springs sit about a inch higher in back which looks fine to me, but I'm getting an inch to inch 1/4 leave driver to passenger side with them.. so I may be looking to swap over to 881/890 combo.

Any updated picks OP? Thanks

I have tundra 5100s up front and 906s in the rear with 10mm spacers and I'm getting about an inch of rake. Those 881s up front are too tall for the 906s. Either switch to 880s (close to stock) or change the rears to 890s. Frankly, I'm thinking of pulling out my 906s and switching to 890s too. I like the height but if I lose the spacers I should be close to the same height and it shouldn't ride so stiff. Hit a speed bump and it's like riding in the back of a school bus.

I installed 881s and 890s yesterday. The 890s are a little higher than the 881s, about an inch or an inch and a half. There is about an inch of front leaning rake, but IMO, it looks great. Can't wait to see how they perform on the road.

Almost the same setup I should have. Difference is mine is a 4x2 meaning less weight and got 880's for the front. My plan was to get some rake too, but from your picture, guess I could be running higher! Not my original plan but lets wait for the outcome.

Do you like how the perform? I wasn't actually looking for some lift but to get some bump stops clearance. My ride is very harsh when running on the highway imperfections and getting some clearance should be a solution.
