I need help with alignment.
Its off. It pulls to the left slightly when the wheel is centered. Also it seems that the 'on-center' area has gotten to be very small. The vehicle seems to want to pull to the left or else to the right, and the area in between is very small.
Is this normal? anyone know what would be causing this?
dont know much about alignment and dont want to look like an idiot when i go back there...
Did they give you the print out of what your alignment is now???
That place you took your truck is a real piece of work!
You need more positive caster to get better straight line stability. Tell them to get the most positive caster they can get with camber set to zero. Here's a good read on alignment.....

The problem is you can't get much more then minimum, which is +2.0 I believe, with the stock UCA's(Upper Control Arms). With aftermarket ones you can get +4.0,which is recommended maximum, or more which increases straight stability and also moves the wheel forward.
You also want the wheel forward because it's easier to adjust front liner so oversize tires don't rub then rubbing the mud flap in the rear of the wheel well on a TE. I have my caster set over 5, get no rubbing with 33's and can take my hands off the wheel for miles if the road is straight and level.I can't stand loose touchy steering where I constantly have to steer it. I have texts to send and don't have time for that.....JK!
That blue stuff you mentioned on the lettering of your duratracs comes off as it's just preservative or some kind of a release agent. A little soap, scour pad and elbow grease and it will be super white lettering. Most get their tires mounted with white letters on the inboard side but a change is nice really.
It's a good idea when you get work done to have a flat rate total price worked out before the work.If they won't do it then find somebody who will. This by the hour BS leaves you open to be ripped off every time and thus they can make shat up, like bad bolts and calibrating the ABS BS, and keeping your truck for 2-3 days.
