OME or Toytec Ultimate??

You simply cannot do more than 3" of suspension lift in the front unless you SAS or do a lame drop CV bracket lift. Your CVs won't handle anymore than 3".

What is wrong with a cv drop bracket? Is there a reason why we dont see them, I think the Unimog has them just wondering why they are bad.

hey so instead of starting a new thread... again... I've been looking at both of these lifts. The toyotec looks nice but it's $250 more than the OME, I have the OME on my 1994 4Runner and loved the ride and off-road capability. I don't do rock crawling, i stick to mud holes and trails up the mountain. I do some rocks, but nothing I'd need to dual case or anything on. So i guess my question is what's best for what I do? I like a level looking ride, so the adjustability is nice. My truck will be getting a heavy front bumper and eventually a fab'ed rear bumper to match. The front bumper will go on with the lift so I'll be getting the HD front coils, and I have a significant amount of weight in the back so probably the HD or MED duty in the rear. Thoughts?

After doing a little homework Toytec seems to be a great, and more importantly versitile, system. I think OME is a better bang for the buck, but I'm using my 4runner as a daily driver until I I have the cash to buy something newer...the idea that I can start with a mild 2" lift and bump it out to 3" plus when I don't need to commute with it is a huge asset for me. Now I just need to find the extra $1,100 laying around.

What's the consensus on getting the upper control arms that the website is trying to up sell me on? I only plan on doing light wheeling, but if I'm in there anyway I'd rather get it done all at once if it's something I may eventually need. So why this vs just doing the shocks and maybe some new bushings?
