Only one fog working, what is this connector called?

I have PIAA fog lights in my shrockworks bumper and there is some corrosion inside this connector.

First off, how do I disconnect the male from the female. No amount of pulling seemed to do the trick. And what are these connectors called?

The female side seems all good, but the wires leading into the male side are bad. It looks like the wires go into a crimp connector and then go inside the white plastic connector. Can I buy this male piece and crimp connectors and fix it?

Welp. I thought it would be a good idea to just snip both sides of this connector and join the wires on their own and now both sides don't work.

I figured I would update on this. Last night I clipped the wires at both sides of the white connector and joined them without it. When I turned the fogs on, it blew the fog fuse. Today, I took the light out of the bumper again, made sure that everything was connected, put a new fuse in, and turned on the fogs. Both sides work when the passenger fog light is not mounted in the bumper. As soon as I go to mount the light inside the bumper, when the bare metal lamp bracket hits the bare metal bumper light mount, the fuse blows in the fusebox. I called PIAA and they said that the connector is nothing more than a connector, so that isn't an issue. The guy believes there is a short somewhere in the lamp. So, is the power to the bulb somehow electrifying the housing and lamp mounting bracket, and then when the lamp mounting bracket touches the bare metal of the bumper, it's causing a short, blowing the fuse? I decided to put some electrical tape in between the bare metal lamp mounting bracket and the bare metal bumper mounting, and both lights work without blowing the fuse. I read in a tacoma world post that some people had put nylon washers between the mounts to solve electrical surging, but this is the only info I could find on this. I am new to figuring electrical stuff out, so please forgive me on terminology and what is what.

Also, when these lights were mounted, the bumper had a brand new powder coat on it, so there was no metal to metal touching. That has since rusted away a bit and I am trying to get it all fixed. Thanks.

Okay, I'm a doofus and this is fixed. when clipped the connector, I should have moved the rubber sheathing off the harness side to see the splice from the original fog harness into the PIAA connectors wiring. The green wire from the original harness was supposed to be connected to the white wire, but was connected to the black. So when I connected the wires with matching colors, it was actually opposite.
