Opening 4runner hatch from the inside?

Does anybody know how to open the back hatch of the 4runner from the inside? Seems kinda silly but when you camp/sleep inside it would really be useful.

thanks.

Toyota had the genius idea of not including a switch/button on the inside, so you're out of luck. You can always just roll the back window down with the button on the fob, if you feel like it. Works ok for me, but its a pain since it wont roll back up unless done by the switch/keyhole.

I was afraid you were going to say that :moping:

This normally wouldnt be that big of a deal. But since I have the 3rd row seats, when I fold down the middle row it blocks the back doors. So basically I have to squeeze out or use the window.....:wtf:

I feel your pain, I personally think that every vehicle of 4runner size should have power liftgate, but nooooooo, stupid toyota thinks it`s not nessessary, I couldn`t even buy it as an option. I`m thinking of retrofitting sienna or lexus power liftgate into 5th gen liftgate, just don`t know where to start. tried searching - no luck. my wife`s Venza power liftgate is my favorite feature and Venza is pretty awesome little crossover
