Opinions on mud tyres?

I'll be in the market for 4 / 5 new ones soon enough, unless i keep the same size (33"s) i suppose i could use the same spare i currently have.
Anyhow i run bfg mudders.. I could get more details by looking at my truck but it doesn't really matter.
So what's everyone's opinion for Tyre sizes for these trucks? I have a 2" lift and a fair bit of extra weight from bumpers and winch.
And also what's every ones opinion on different Tyre manufactures / models?

Which bfg muds are you running? I have friends that run km2's and love them.

You won't get a negative word out of me regarding BFG's--excellent tires, especially the Mud T/A's (the KM2's are what you'd be getting--the KM1 is almost out). They're relatively quiet for an aggressive tire, get awesome traction in most offroad conditions (A/T's are better in sand and snow), wear well, track well down the highway--just a great overall serious offroad tire that's going to see plenty of street use.

How much money are you planning on spending, how aggressive do you want them, and what terrain do you see mostly?
I like any BFG tire because their decently priced and last forever. Mickey Thompsons are awesome, but $$$. But really, when your buying 33's..Toyo MT's are awesome, BFG all/mud terrains are awesome, Nitto mud Grapplers are pretty good and look SICK, **** cepic is ALL good, and the Mickey Thompson MTZ are probably my best choice.

I live in the south so mud / sand is the main concern. Also it's a daily driver, and the bfg's seem to of held up well not loosing their tread very fast compared to super swampers atleast...
I do like the look of bfg's aswell. Would different off-roading rims make much of a difference?

yes i had stt's on an s10 and slid in the rain bout 60ft into the back of a pontiac needless to say the truck was gone after that!!! and the pontiac had some trunk probloms!!!:lmao:

I live in the South, Florida to be exact and I've had experience with all the above mentioned tires with the exception of the Cooper Discover STT's, and I mainly see gumbo clay, mud, and sand when I'm out off the main roads. Out of all the tires I've ran on my rigs I would hands down go with a Toyo M/T (my opinion), I'm on my second set (first set was33's on a Jeep Wrangler YJ) and I was going on 3 years having them on the road mainly with minimal wear. The performance in mud and sand are pretty awesome and you'll love them in the rain too. There was a recent issue of 4 Wheeler Magazine out (May 2012?) Where they tested a lot of these tires, do some research for yourself and don't go cheap on something you are depending on getting you from point A to point B daily.

I think 33s, maybe 35s are ideal for these trucks, unless you're willing to take a performance hit on pavement. I'll be running a 33, because with the automatic that's the biggest I can go and keep stock gearing. You won't fit 35s without more lift or some trimming/tubbing.

I've got KM2s on the way, they've got a reputation as a great tire and I'm looking forward to them. Goodyear MTR Kevlars and Toyo MTs also get awesome reviews.

I had 285 stt's on my 4th gen before I killed it, and I found them to be great tires, even in the rain. When I get muddys for my truck I will consider 33's , from these mfgs in order

2 cooper stt
3 Goodyear mtr
