Options Gobi Lighting Side and Rear

I am looking for options on sizing and typs of lighting for Rigids on my gobi rack. I have a curved 42" light in the front of the rack and a 32" for inside the front grill.

For the side I was thinking this:

A. Rigid 6" SR Light per side, havent figured out how to mount perhaps bar mounted

B. 4 SRM lights mounted to the rear two brackets shoukd integrate well. I just do not know how low profile or how bright they would be.

A: Two Rigid 6" SR Spot/Floods on the rear.

Does anyone have pictures or experience with the above or any other suggestions. Doesnt have to be Rigid Lights though right now preferable. Note: My rack does not have brackets for the side of the rack. The rear light brackets are the normal brackets Gobi uses. I appreciate all the help and look forward to the response.

It really depends on how much light you need to have. I'm running 2 6"SR Floods in the back. It's waaaaay too much light. I mean, if you're planning on going in reverse at 60mph, by all means go for it. I'm also running the flush mount SRM2 in a diffused pattern and I have it wired to just reverse lights. Those are plenty for backing up with tint that's too dark.

If you plan on using or mounting anything to the sides (awning, hi lift mount, etc.), you're going to end up blocking the light.

As far as mounts are concerned, go with Axia Alloys. They've got every configuration you'll ever need to attach to a 1" round bar.

Hey, that's my picture with the 6". Honestly, I rarely use the reverse lights, especially the 2 x 6". In a few weeks, I plan on taking those off and moving them to the front next to my 20" like I originally intended. If you really need light back there, I would suggest just running a single D series light such as the Dually or D2. The 2 6" lights end up drowning out the backup camera and I can't see anything.

Dually's with Awning

I am running Rigid Dually's on each side, mounted in the 'O' on the GOBI cut out, and also use an ARB Awning 2500. The light fits perfectly below the awning and works great for setting up camp, however is still very bright.

I think that I have narrowed it down with issues and recommendations of others.

For the sides it looks as if I was right on track with the Rigid SR-M lights. It seems as if if I did decide to put an Awning on the top bar it would fit underneath the awning with it deployed and when not deployed. I am going to try to go with four of them and ill get the diffused lens as it offeres more light spread out by the vehicle where it is needed on the sides. If i need to see out further ehile staionary it makes more semse to use a flashlight or the such as it would be most ikely investogating some strange noise.

For the rear it looks as if the SR-Q diffused 90551 may be the ticket. Its cost wil offset theSR-M light as it is much less expensive than the SR 6 lightbar it is more compact and with around 1500 lumens I doubt I will be lacking in light. Thoug I am torn here between the Diffused and the spot light on the rear. I really need to find pictures of beam patterns to make a decision. For reverse i dont need a very long through as most of it would be for a. Camping, repairs etc B. Night time runs and reversing making sure you arent running into trees or off a cliff.

Plus I will be running Rock Lights as well so it may tie in better with the diffused light? Makes me concerened too in the future with running an awning if I should seperate the left and right side lights, though switch space is almost at a maximum right now, decisions decision.

Does this setup sound more inline. I am going to call Rigid tomorrow for so e pricing. As a side note: my front light bar has condensation i am dissapointed. i am sending it i. For a replacement, not a Rigid. It was about $900 less than a curved Rigid though. I am hoping it was a fluke. If it happens with the next replacement I may have to get the Rigid one. The light was a Desert Rat Nightstalker.

And this is 2 SR series floods in the rear, the 2 SRM floods on the sides, and some other stuff up front.

Quick question regarding the rear lights. I noticed that everyone is using the stock mounting plate on the gobi. I just wanted to know if the spoiler blocks the light at all because it seems so close. Also, how are the lights aimed? are they pointed straight back or slightly angled down? I also remember seeing someone mount their rear lights with the universal clamps on the top bar which seems to give more options on how you want the light angled but i cannot find where i saw it which is so frustrating. im pretty sure it was an inferno color but anyways... any feedback would be great thanks.

Sorry for the late response. I do not notice any blocking of light. If so it is very minimal as they lights are extremely light. I angle them down a little bit. Gobi makes a bracket for this type of tubing. You can also search for 4Wheeler lighting mount or roll cage type mounts with the diameter of the tubing.
